Kyle realized that his leg was shaking up and down as he sat.

It was a nervous tick that he always remembered having. A teacher in high school once told him that it was a sign of a kinesthetic learner — someone who learns not by reading or by hearing, but by doing. She said she’d never let her daughter date a kinesthetic learner.

Only now, years later, did Kyle realize that she meant she didn’t want her daughter to be part of any lessons on sex.
