This is true…I was just thinking about it since I’ve been seeing that Kit Kat commercial from 2010 with all the chewing sounds and the theremin all the time for a while already. That commercial annoys me, but I get a kick out of the Snickers one.

That makes me so sick. Innocent victims just wanting to enjoy a movie. So sad.

There’s too much happening to do live updates, but hearing who some of the victims are makes it even worse. Police are talking over each other. Sounds like little kids were victims, and a gunman is still in the mall. CNN is covering it now, but they are a little behind what I’m hearing on the police scanner.

I love watching 4th of July fireworks. I watched my city’s annual firework extravaganza since it’s illegal to set off your own in Dallas. Then I came home and watched Disneyland’s fireworks from the HoJo Anaheim live webcam. Success!

Oh man, I wish I’d thought of that! I keep meaning to watch the fireworks on that webcam, and always forget.

Next time, small propane torch from Walmart or sears. You can get one that lights with the push of a button. Really saves on the thumb.

We actually had a punk (the stick thing that keeps an ember burning to light them with), but I forgot all about it. Oh well. The thumb will heal!

Q:Maybe it's a southern thing, but I prefer being addressed as 'ma'am'. I was checking out somewhere and the cashier called me 'miss' and I cringed. It might have had a lot to do with her voice/tone but it really irked me. LONG LIVE MA'AM!

For a while, “miss” became my go-to greeting because I was afraid of getting in trouble again for using ma’am and it sounded better than “hey, lady!” (maybe I shouldn’t have done it in my Jerry Lewis voice).

Then I decided to consult a dictionary, and saw that the ladies who were offended by ma’am were just being overly picky.

As are men who don’t like being called sir. “My father is sir.” “Yeah, well so are you.”

I can understand if someone would prefer to be called something else. That’s fine with me. I’ll call you “your highness” if that’s what you want, and you ask nicely…but the curt “don’t call me ma’am/sir” like the person who said it did something wrong is just dumb.

Thanks! Someone posted the pic of Mickey last night and wondered how long it would be before Tupac was added…and I just kind of ran with it, adding Tupac to that and then putting him in the Haunted Mansion. I’ll try not to get too carried away. If I was better at photoshop, I’d maybe start a “Holographic Tupac at Disneyland” blog, but I don’t think I’ve got the patience for that. =)
