The GIMP has been compared very favourably to Photoshop. The only problem is, they don’t make it very Windows-friendly. I’m a big fan of Paint.net - it’s not as powerful, more comparable to Elements than the full Photoshop.

Thank you, Faizy…I thought of getting a keygen file for it, but decided against it. I ended up uninstalling it, since it was taking up a lot of hard drive space for a bunch of features I’ll never use.
