A re-run of Once Upon a Time from two weeks ago is on. My parents couldn’t think of anything else to watch so I tried explaining it to them so they could figure out what was going on.
I wasn’t very good at it.
“That’s the Wicked Queen Regina, Snow White’s mom. And that’s her mom, Cora. Regina once sent Cora to another world to get rid of her, but now she’s found her way back to her daughter. And that’s Captain Hook. No, really.”
“And that’s Snow White’s daughter, Emma. She’s with Rapunzel, who’s also called Mr. Gold, and her son Henry who was raised by Regina. Emma had him with Rapunzel’s son, Baelfire, but she didn’t know it was Rapunzel’s son at the time and Bae (that’s short for Baelfire) doesn’t even know that he has a son. He got Emma sent to prison before he knew. Rapunzel’s been looking for him for ages and they just found him.”
Mom says “And this all happened in New York?”
“Well, they were in their own fairy tale world, except for Emma and Bae, but Regina cursed everyone and sent them to this world and they didn’t know who they were and Snow White slept with Frankenstein but she was cursed so it’s not her fault she cheated on Prince Charming but now the curse is lifted and they know who they are again.”
Explaining the show to someone who hasn’t been watching it is hard and now we’re watching something else.
Don’t reblog. Make a new post with a screenshot, and then tag it with all of your fandoms.
For a show about fairy tale characters, we sure don’t get a lot of happy endings with Once Upon a Time.
“Why is everyone worried bout Disney owning Star Wars? Disney took over Marvel and look at how the Avengers turned out. Disney is not going to mess with the story, it means a better budget and better advertising. People need to move on and stop looking for stupid things to complain about.”
Plus, that outsider who drove into Storybrooke on Once Upon a Time got to have that cool Star Wars ringtone when his cell phone rang in the latest episode.

I’m catching up on tonight’s episode of Once Upon a Time.
I’d live-blog it, but it would just be post after post that says nothing but
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu….
Me, watching Once Upon a Time, with 2 minutes left:
Well, that wasn’t too bad. Got more story without any major WTF moments.
Me, two minutes later:
WTF!!??!?!?!?!?!

very painful, I forgot until I watched the reblog. Then I was just like stab me in the heart
Seriously. Everything seemed so wonderful at the end of season one (well, with the exception of the purple cloud engulfing everything). Suddenly they threw us right back into the fire!

Oh My Gosh I can so relate! What an emotional episode. I was crying then yelling at the tv, then total an complete shock and silence at the end. I think I might have been gasping. What an amazing episode to bring out so many feelings
I made the mistake of watching the recap special they aired before the new episode. I was doing OK until Henry ate the apple turnover. Then…

Then we get to the new episode, and the possible (yet short-lived even if true) love triangle, and Regina being evil and Mr. Gold being…whatever Mr. Gold is being (I can’t commit to “evil” for him, but he’s maddening).
I have a feeling this season is going to hurt more than last season (and last season brought out a bunch of “dad” feelings for me, and he was still alive for all but the last four episodes). Somehow I don’t think they’re done torturing me with fathers who actually want to be fathers (as opposed to mine, who worked very hard to NOT be around until he was trying to “buy” his way into heaven). Especially now that Charming knows who his daughter is.
Oh, look. A tangent in my post. I doubt I’m done with those, either. =)
