Here’s where I don’t understand the “let’s arm our schools” argument.
There’s this paranoia that the government is going to take away all guns, and then we’ll turn into a dictatorship.
But the same people who believe that also believe that putting government agents in schools with guns is a step away from dictatorial control somehow?

Who needs brainwashing when Mitt’s record speaks for itself? He wants to not only deny civil rights to same-sex couples, he wants a Constitutional amendment banning those civil rights. So yes, he was either raised differently, or more likely given George Romney’s record, he became an asshole on his own.
After all, his father was the one who, when asked to release a single year of tax returns, said that one year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul. Mitt’s father George then, instead of releasing a single year’s worth of tax returns, turned over 12 years’ worth (including the years where he became a millionaire with stock options).
George Romney also paid a tax rate of 50%, not the 14.1% that Mitt pays and considers “fair.”
Barack Obama has come out in support of expanding civil rights to gay and lesbian couples. Mitt Romney stands against those rights. Are you sure you really want to play the civil rights card here? Because you may be holding a pair of deuces, but I’ve got a full house, Queen high.
And do you really want to try to compare Mitt to his father when everything they have done politically has been worlds apart? Because the evidence very strongly suggest that Mitt is not the man his father was.

So the 2010 elections were supposed to be all about jobs and the economy .. but after those elections what kind of legislation do we actually get? Abortions, gay marriage, English as an official language, banning Sharia Law, stripping union rights .. all this stuff is not about jobs and the economy, but it is about capitalizing on how afraid people are in a bad economy. It’s about telling Americans that other Americans are the enemy. It’s about splitting people up. It makes political sense, but it’s REALLY bad for the country.

Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush took the symbol of the Trayvon Martin protests from the street to the Capitol on Wednesday, getting ejected from the House floor for wearing a hoodie.
Rep. Bobby Rush has been a Member of Congress since 1993.
He was ejected due to the “no hats” part of the Congressional dress code (although the dress code is only enforced sporadically). Oddly enough, the debate on hats in Congress was brought up just a couple months ago by Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson.
