Republicans like to talk about how bad regulations are for the economy, but only when they could be making more money without those regulations.
Case in point: Legalizing marijuana (aka “ending regulations”) and taxing it would add huge amounts of revenue to the U.S. budget. But since the politicians don’t sell pot, they don’t support that.
But revoke clean air regulations on big industry and they can make some serious cash (even if it’s at the expense of the environment), so they’re all for it!
