I know how much some of you love coffee.
But if you have this particular coffeemaker (or any single-cup Mr. Coffee with a model number beginning with BVMC-KG1), don’t use it.
It tends to get all splodey when steam builds up inside. There have been 164 reports of it happening, resulting in 61 injuries including face and hand burns.

Oh, and don’t get any funny ideas of hopping on board for a free coffeemaker if you don’t have one. You have to cut the electrical cord off the one you’ve got and mail it to them, and the plug contains a code that will tell them if it’s one of theirs.
