Kyle went to the beach. Not for swimming or to tan, but just to sit. The beach right next to the refinery was almost never crowded, and he could just stare at the water and listen to the waves.
The sun started to meet the horizon. As it did, Kyle let his mind wander. He didn’t want to think about Logan. He didn’t want to think about what he’d been through. He wished he could just stop thinking. Not permanently; but he wished he had an on/off switch for his mind.
He really wished he could just start over.
