This is a “nice guy” (or nice person, since this description certainly doesn’t only apply to men). After a few posts I saw today that disparaged “nice guys,” I think this is a good reminder of what we really are.
We’re not gutless woman-chasers who hate women when they won’t sleep with us. Those aren’t nice guys. You’re thinking of someone else entirely. I would term them “assholes.” Nice guys want to do what is best for everyone; we aren’t predators who only do nice things in hopes of getting laid.
I’m a nice guy, and damn proud of it. If you think that means something other than what it is, you are the one with twisted view on things.
You know what the “friendzone” gets you? A friend. And that’s not too shabby.
